I am only able to offer this podcast because I have found ways to do so that don't actually cost me anything but my time.

Unfortunately, the folks who used to host my files for free sent me a letter today telling me that they are getting rid of their free service.

There will be no new podcasts until I am able to find a new place to host the files free of charge.

When I find a new place, I will attempt to transfer over any existing episodes but this may not be possible.

Please download any shows you haven't yet listened to as soon as possible as I am unsure how long they will be available.

I'll be back with you when I can. Thank you for understanding.

Jess

Hi Jess, Hope you'll find a new service fast 'cause I totally love your podcast. I wouldn't mind if you'd podcast every week.;) But that choice is up to you. If you like podcasting every week, do so! If once every two weeks is enough for you, then your audience will just have to live with it. I also like the shows with Julie in it. You two make a nice duo. Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks, I'll forward this comment to her - maybe it'll encourage her to record with me more often!

Oh no, where else will I get my yarn sex fix?

I did some googling. Have you looked at this site?
http://www.castwiki.com/index.php/Podcast_for_free

Also, have you considered putting up a donate button to cover a cheap pay service. Libsyn looks promising. I've cut and pasted some info from their site.

service level monthly fee monthly storage quota
Podcast Basic $5.00 100MB

daily (M-F) 20-minute talk program, encoded in low-quality
weekly 30-minute mixed talk-music program
weekly 20-minute high quality music program

Their website is here:

I will check out castwiki - thanks for the suggestion.

I have not considered putting up a donation button where the proceeds would go to me rather than to a charity. Since no one was interested in joining me in donating to project kiva, i figured i just didn't have the listener-base for it to work. there are less than 300 of you out there (at last check, which was a few weeks ago) which is far lower a number than most podcasts who do receive donations.
